He Will Hide Me!

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted something! I have been pretty busy here lately. Hopefully I'll have time to sit down and post some pictures of recent events soon. For now, I just want to share a Scripture verse that has encouraged me lately. It's Psalm 27:5. "For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock." When David wrote this he was going through some pretty rough stuff. Earlier in the chapter he says "When the wicked...came upon me to eat up my flesh..." I would call that major! It struck me when I read it the other day that this verse can also be applied to the smaller trials in life. Like that "sin that so easily besets us." To cry out to the Lord to hide me in His temple, to set me high upon a rock is so important to do in those times as well. It's a comfort to know that God will give grace in the little things of life too. We don't have to be running from an army or get eaten up by our enemy to take this verse to heart.

Dearest Meg: Thank you for this devotional from the Psalm. It helped me today to remember the Lord's great care for His people--including me! I am grateful to know you turn to Him during times of trouble--big or small.

Love,
