Have you ever read Isaiah 53:4-6 in a personal way? This morning I was reading a devotional book that my dad helped write for his work. He had Isaiah 53:4-6 written out like this:Surely you have born my griefs and carried my sorrows; yet I esteemed you stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But you were wounded for my transgressions; you were crushed for my iniquities; upon you was the chastisement that brought me peace, and with your stripes I am healed. Like a sheep I have gone astray; I have turned to my own way; and the Lord has laid on you all of my iniquity.
Then Dad said "Nothing ignites the heart of the believer more than a fresh awareness of the sacrificial, personal love of the Savior."
