8 States, 8 Days…1 Very Fun Trip

The past eight days have been filled with lots of road time.  We drove through, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and of course, Texas.  Needless to say, we spent a lot of time in the van.  But, if was a good time.  My parents are lots of fun and we shared many laughs…practically a traveling comedy show.

Yeah.

Anyways, we did more than laugh and drive through numerous states for the fun of it.  We actually did stuff.  Like go to a lovely wedding in South Dakota:

Yes, I think it’s very cool that I’m related to them.  Just say' in.

Then, we move on to Mt. Rushmore…um, wow.  It’s one of those awesome places you always hear about, but then getting to see it in real life makes it so much better.

--->Insert real life moment here.

I just went to grab a picture and put it up there, but then realized I failed majorly and have not yet uploaded them to the computer.  So, Mt. Rushmore will have to get it’s own little blog post another time.  Sorry, Mt. Rushmore.

BUT, on the way to the Mountain, we spent the night in the fabulous capital city of Pierre.  Here are a few pictures from our wanderings around the capitol building:

I’ve been to our Texas capitol building in Austin a number of times, and it’s always SO busy with people, and streets, and security.  This capitol building was quiet. Ahhh.  We were the only ones around.

Well, I could go on and proceed to tell you in great detail about the foods we ate, the Wall drugstore we stopped at, the 5 times we were hailed on (seriously), the strange little gas station we waited out a storm in, the awesome friends we ate dinner with, the beautiful Colorado mountains, the….

But, I’ll spare you for now.  Maybe some other time this weekend I will hop back on and put another picture post up. maybe.
