It's been a long weekend but a very good one! I'll just say right now that I'm going to write a lot in this post, so if you don't have time to read it all skip down to the pictures:) Friday night...let's see, what did we do Friday night (it seems like it was a week ago)? I'm seriously sitting here trying to remember what we did (pretty sad huh?). Oh yes! Ice cream party at my piano teacher's house! That was very, very fun (and sweet!). After getting home around 6:45 we ate a quick bite to eat and headed up to our church to decorate my mom's Sunday school room. Boy, did we decorate! We didn't leave the church house until almost midnight! Saturday was wonderful. My friend Courtney came over for a few hours and we had such fun being together and talking! That afternoon Mom and I ran up to the church. I practiced a violin duet with a friend, then Mom and I rushed to Sam's to meet another friend (friends are very important:) Our church building dedication was today so we had to pick up three huge cakes and lots of other food. You should have seen us make our way through that store...all three of us running around with big Sam's size carts. It took awhile for us to get coordinated but I think we did pretty good considering the circumstances!
Ok, now for today! It's been such a special day. We had our regular service this morning and then at 2:30 had our dedication service. It was very meaningful and so powerful! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the service itself, but I do have some of the reception:
Lots of yummy food!
There is a long story behind that cake, but since I've already told you way more than you ever needed or wanted to know, I'll spare you.
Aren't they just the cutest!
Meg and Meg
Meg and Anna (Anna is the other Meg's sister) She didn't want to have her picture taken but I threatened her with blog publication so she complied! ![]()
Doesn't he just melt your heart?
The new toddler room has so much color! I wonder what Wyatt's thinking?
That's all for the dedication service. This evening I was relishing wearing flip-flops (and not heels) and was out side swinging with my dad. The perfect ending to a pretty perfect day (minus the sore feet and tired bodies!)
Happy times!

Long weekends can be tiring but so much fun!
Dear Megan,
It looks truly wonderful. Wish I could have been there Sunday, but it was not to be :-(
Thank you so much for sharing about it and posting the pictures so I could see how great it was.
I am truly happy for Cornerstone and am praying great things for this beloved congregation.
love,
ann
Dear Megan:
Thanks for reminding us of the great day we had Sunday. Like you said, it was soooo long I had forgotten some of it. It was wonderful to be with you, Mom and our warm church family for the day. Ending it with you (and Mommy taking the picture) at the swing brought back sweet memories with you beyond yesterday.
I love you!
Daddy
