Today I rode the bus all by myself! All by myself, bloggie friends!!! I trotted out of our little flat, music bag in tow and 2.40 (money I'd need for my ticket...that's in pounds, of course) clutched tightly in the palm of my hand. I came to my first street crossing...walked when it told me to and you know what? I didn't get run over! I made it to the bus stop just in time, bought the right ticket and took my seat. I even got off at the right stop, crossed another street and made it to my destination in one piece! Now, tell me. Are you proud of your little friend? Ok, ok, ok....time for the disclaimer. The first street crossing is right outside my window, so I'm used to it. I've ridden the bus many times before with Mom and Dad, so I know what ticket to get, and the walk to my destination was just a few minutes...but. I was still happy I had ventured out in this foreign land all by myself. Now, as I climb off my soap box....
We had a busy day. Running errands, practicing piano, fellowshipping with older people, and of course, riding buses:) Our day was full of the ordinary stuff you would do on a busy day at home (well, maybe not stopping at the bakery and getting homemade sweets). Although, it does seem just a bit extraordinary to us, it's all still new and unusual. Mom bought meat from the local butcher and dried the clothes at the Laundrette (it's not called a Laundry Mat here) just down the road. I rode the bus (all by myself...but you already knew that), Dad worked at his paying job and we all collaborated at the grocery store and got loads of food for the get together at our house tomorrow night. We did a lot of other things too, but I won't bore you with our schedule. But, dear friends, we did everyone of those things without taking one. single. picture. Yes, I know we seemed incapable of accomplishing such a feat, but the deed has been done. Not one picture has been snapped on our trusty little camera today. I'm sorry! To appease your woe, I'll cheer you up with a flower picture taken on a day gone by:
Everyday we are here we are given God's grace in many ways we don't even see. He provides so much...safety to our destinations, provision of our every need and blessings that are unexpected and so special. We see His care for our daily lives (even while riding the bus:) as we stay afloat in England!
That's all for now folks! Stay tuned for pictures from tomorrow's festivities!

YOU SURVIVED!!!! Hurray! When you get back to the states, I am confident you can handle the New York subway system!!
That flower is just gorgeous! THanks for the update of your day. Your "busy" day is our view to your "vacation".
Congrats Megan! Hey, way to go! That little trip of yours might sound simple, but you have to admit that doing "simple" things in a foreign country take a lot more guts to accomplish, than one might think... I'm proud of you! **great big smile**
Love to all!
