Mom and I have decided that Mondays will be our "flat cleaning day". That is, we will clean our apartment (flat) up real nice and purdy. (See, I've still got some Texan in me!) Since we leave the windows open 99% of the time, things get pretty dusty! So, after our cleaning experience, I made some lunch and we walked down to the office and shared it with Dad and Mr. Martin. While Dad finished up work, Mom and I walked over to Poole Park. It's very nice (a bit chilly at times...being so close to the sea) and has a lovely lake in it. We walked around the lake snapping pictures of swans.

Ok, so that's enough of the swans. It really is embarrassing how many pictures of swans I got. As Mom would say "yes, I do think you have some deleting to do!" Yes, yes, despite my good intentions to blend in and look like a Brit, I am continually reminded that I am not because, for some strange reason I find myself constantly holding a camera to my face, taking pictures of almost everything. Mom took many of the following pictures and I took some of her, but she didn't like the way she looked so that's why I seem to dominate in these. The park also has some beautiful flowers and war memorials. But, here's a few pics of the lake for now:
It's the attack of the seagull!
Ok, so that little red, white, and blue sail boat is tipping over behind me and I'm just standing there smiling like life is great. That poor person! Actually, there were a bunch of little kids out on the lake taking canoeing lessons or something...so cute! The water was very cold but I think all the kids had on wetsuits. (Don't worry, I think everything came out fine.)
I think this picture is so sweet. An elderly couple walking in the shade holding hands. Can it get much sweeter than that? We always ohhh and ahhh over wedding pictures, but this is what we really should be cooing over: a commitment so strong and a love so deep it has stood the test of time. (of course, for all I know, the lady could be his girl friend, I didn't run up to them and ask for their life story)
This is part of a war memorial at the park.
It's the big scary tree monster!!!
Mom took this picture. She wanted to make sure she got the biker dude in it. All these people hanging out in the park probably have no idea they are now famous on The Musings of Me!!
The yellow rose of Tex...I mean England.
Flowers, flowers everywhere. Flowers, flowers in my hair...just kidding.
That's some important building. I know that the mayor steps out onto the balcony to make announcements. Oh, in case you haven't heard...I met the mayor!
That's all for now folks! Have a great night (or day...whatever it is where you are!)
