Today was...a day. There haven't been any big fireworks to write about. It was just a good 'ole normal day...I think. I'm not exactly sure what normal around here is yet. Is normal going to a family owned bakery for a snack? Is it walking to the grocery store? Singing with your mom in the tiny kitchen? Life here is still new to me, but I think this is normal. If you ask me though, it's a pretty good normal to have. Of course, the "normal" day didn't get by without pictures! Here are some from our afternoon:
Walking home from the grocery store with groceries on my shoulder! We got a reusable grocery sack before we left home and it sure has come in handy!
After this picture, Mom said: "Here comes some relief from carrying the groceries." This is what I turned around to see:
My knight in shining armor making his way to walk home with us! I transferred my load to him and we went happily on our way:)
It usually takes us a long time to get into our flat building (no, our building is not flat...it's a whole TWO stories!) because the lock is cantankerous. So, while we were waiting to get in I did the only sensible thing to do: take pictures!
While we were eating, it started to rain. "Oh yea!" I thought, "we can finally use our umbrellas!" By the time we finished dishes, the rain had stopped but I still wanted to go out and get a few umbrella pictures. So, my longsuffering parents took me on a walk.
This is what we were standing over. Isn't it pretty?
Now, this next picture...not sure what it's rated. I was just trying to get Mom and Dad walking together with the umbrella when I look up and see this:
Whoa!!! (that's all I have to say...)
Anyway, we had a fun walk even though it didn't rain a drop. I enjoyed our day, it was nice to just "live" here. Oh, back to that bakery I mentioned. Just an interesting tidbit for you: They bake for the queen. I think I even heard they made the wedding cake for princess Diana! Pretty awesome stuff in their little bakery.
Now, off to bed for me! If I don't get sidetracked, I might actually get to sleep before midnight!

oh i do love a good walk! don't you just adore the simple adventure of never knowing what you might see, who you might run into, or how God will show you a flower in a whole new light (or perhaps a leaf, or any other amazing thing He has created)?! God is so cool!
